MCU Has The Advantage To Re-Write Storm’s Story
With a change in the cast, the Marvel Cinematic Universe can also fix the mistakes that were made by Fox– especially overlooking the character growth of Halle Berry’s Storm. It is an obvious statement that Storm is a notable ‘X-Men’ mutant who has been constantly ignored in the live-action adaptations.
In the original X-Men trilogy, her role is often overshadowed by the love triangle of Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Wolverine. A lot of her potential and abilities were put to waste by focusing on romance.
But now MCU has the chance to make things right. It can rediscover Storm by emphasizing on his origin story, making her the central figure. Similar to the ‘Avengers’ story, Marvel can begin the X-Men by including their past initially, by providing solo films.
