Actors Krysten Ritter and David Tennant of the beloved ‘Jessica Jones‘ franchise show eagerness to return as their characters despite them getting their endings. Ritter has always spoken about wanting to appear in MCU movies.
While talking at the ‘Inside of You With Michael Rosenbaum podcast’, Ritter opened up about her desire to work with Marvel again. She said, “I have no idea; I hope so! I think that people love Jessica; I know because I live it. Marvel is so secretive – I am just putting that out there that, of course, I would be there in a second. I would have my boots and jacket ready to rock.”
Even in 2021, she talked about wanting to play Jessica again: “I would absolutely just die to play Jessica again. I had the best time doing it and I just love her so much. I’m so proud of that character. Not only because it was like a great role and she’s such a bad-ass, but that character has really resonated with people in a way that I don’t know who else has.“
She even teased her potential return as ‘Jessica Jones’ via a video of her wearing the same T-shirt as Jessica and captioned it ‘IYKYK.’ The timing of the post was even more telling as it was in the same month ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ started filming.
Additionally, the antagonist of ‘Jessica Jones’, the Killgrave actor was no different. He talked about wanting to return as the character. According to CoveredGeekly, Tennant said on the red carpet of the 2024 BAFTAs that he would love to be in the MCU as Killgrave.
He revealed that despite his character dying it could be possible due to Marvel being Marvel. “I’d love to do Kilgrave again, yeah Kilgrave would be great. Yeah, that would be good wouldn’t it?! I mean… he did very much get his neck broken, he was very dead. But never say never in the Marvel Universe,” David said.
