Marvel’s New Plan Will Reduce The Impact Of Robert Downey Jr.’s Endgame Death

Iron Man’s death in ‘Avengers: Endgame’ left a long-lasting impact on the fandom as well as the studios. It was one of the most devastating moments and the height of the success of Marvel Cinematic Universe. But ever since Robert Downey Jr.’s exit from the MCU, the studios have only gone downhill.

Recently MCU announced the project collaborating with the Avengers and the X-Men. The Marvel comic fans are excited with this news, as it is deemed to be a successful collaboration in the comics, but will it see the same fate when adapted into a live-action?

Marvel lost its momentum and credibility after it killed all of its major characters. This decision impacted the future of the franchise. And now to provide stability, Marvel has to bring even more powerful villains and heroes to make up for the tragic deaths.

According to the reports by The Comic Circus, a potential Avengers vs. X-Men is under discussion. And if the fans were disrupted by the death of Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man, then they need to be prepared for something even more tragic.

A source said, “Another idea that’s been tossed around involves an Avengers vs. X-Men film set between the members of the 616 Avengers and the X-Men. However, it’s still too early to discuss, as the X-Men have not yet made their way to the 616 universes just yet.”

‘Deadpool 3’ will mark the official entry of X-Men into Marvel with Hugh Jackman reprising his iconic role as Wolverine alongside Ryan Reynolds‘ Deadpool. Although the MCU has rights to the characters from the comics, there are many instances where the studio has steered away from its source material.

Apart from Iron Man, another prominent death was of Professor X and if the studios decide to follow the source material, then the death of Professor X might soften the blow from Iron Man’s ultimate sacrifice.
