‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Post-Credit Scene Might’ve Revealed He Was Kidnapped By Doctor Doom

The biggest twist in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ may have already happened before the movie even begins. The new ‘Avengers: Endgame‘ Encore footage reportedly shows Doctor Doom kidnapping Bruce Banner, and the scene could provide a major clue about what happened to Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’.

Hulk’s Kidnapping Could Explain Spider-Man’s Disappearance

When Doom arrives for Bruce Banner, the military facility suddenly starts malfunctioning. The lights flicker, the camera glitches, and everything briefly goes dark before Doom appears and tells Banner that he has come to “collect” him.

That is important. Doom isn’t there to kill Banner. He is there to take him. The sequence then ends with Hulk struggling as green Latverian symbols appear across the floor. It feels less like a traditional villain attack and more like someone being forcibly removed from their normal reality.

And that makes the similar glitch in ‘Brand New Day‘s post-credits scene much more interesting. If the visual effect is deliberately connected, Peter Parker may have already been targeted by Doom.

The most intriguing possibility is that ‘Brand New Day’ doesn’t end with Peter simply encountering something mysterious. It could end with Doom successfully kidnapping Spider-Man.

Spider-Man Could Be One Of Doom’s First Captives

That would also give Peter a much bigger role in ‘Doomsday’. Instead of waiting until the Avengers crossover to introduce Doom’s interest in Spider-Man, Marvel could reveal that Peter has already been taken before the main story even starts.

Hulk’s kidnapping would then establish the pattern for the audience: the glitch appears, Doom arrives, and a powerful hero disappears. And there could be a reason Doom wants these specific heroes.

The alleged Doomsday material already points toward Doom preparing for the collapse of the Multiverse. If Doom is assembling powerful heroes beforehand, Spider-Man and Hulk could be among the people he needs for whatever comes next.

That makes the ‘Brand New Day’ post-credits scene potentially much more important than it looks. Peter Parker may not be waiting for Doom to arrive. Doom may have already found him.
