Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh, the stars of the upcoming romantic drama ‘We Live in Time’, recently engaged in a playful debate about who would win in a hypothetical matchup between their MCU characters, Spider-Man and Yelena Belova.
The friendly sparring match took place during an interview with LADbible TV. Moreover, Garfield was pretty confident that his Spider-Man would come out on top.
Andrew Garfield Believes Spider-Man Would Most Definitely Be The Victor
When asked about the potential outcome of a fight between his and Florence Pugh’s characters, Andrew Garfield expressed confidence in Spider-Man’s abilities. “I don’t imagine a context wherein that would have to occur,” he stated. He seemed sure that Spider-Man’s superior powers and agility would give him the upper hand.
Pugh, on the other hand, was more hesitant to declare a winner. She acknowledged Yelena’s impressive skills but also recognized Spider-Man’s extraordinary abilities. “I imagine Yelena and Spider-Man being good pals,” she said. As the debate continued, Garfield playfully suggested that the two characters could engage in a “play fight.”
However, he was still sure that Spider-Man would win. Pugh countered by highlighting Yelena’s impressive arsenal of weapons and tactical skills. The friendly disagreement ultimately ended in a draw, as neither actor was able to definitively prove their character’s superiority.

Andrew Garfield first donned the iconic Spider-Man suit in Sony’s 2012 film ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ and reprised the role in its 2014 sequel. His portrayal of Peter Parker was praised for its emotional depth and authenticity.
