Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ will be one of Marvel Studios’ biggest theatrical releases, and fans are already wondering what’s next for Tom Holland‘s Peter Parker.

A new set of comments from producer Amy Pascal is far more optimistic than recent ones from director Destin Daniel Cretton, who said audiences should take the film as if it were Spider-Man’s final. Instead of confirming an ending, Pascal said that Spider-Man’s destiny is far from being sealed.

When it comes to the franchise’s future, Amy Pascal said that working with Marvel Studios has provided an endless number of story ideas because Spider-Man meets so many heroes in the MCU. She did not say she would release another trilogy, but Pascal said it would be her dream to continue Holland’s journey.

“I never want to be so presumptuous as to say anything is going to be a trilogy or more than one. That would be my dream, of course, but you never know. Because the truth is that the rule that we set for ourselves is to take it one movie at a time. It’s important to us that you don’t have to see one movie to see the other movie,” she shared.

She emphasized that the filmmakers make sure to make each film stand alone. Her remarks will help ease the nerves of fans who were worried after Cretton mentioned that they should consider ‘Brand New Day’ as the last adventure for the web slinger. Pascal’s approach suggests Marvel and Sony are simply avoiding long-term promises until each film has been completed.

With the events of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ behind him, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ already marks a new chapter in Peter Parker’s journey. Tom Holland is back, alongside Zendaya and Jacob Batalon. Bruce Banner is back with Mark Ruffalo. The Punisher is also making his MCU feature film debut as Jon Bernthal.

Box office numbers are already high, and it looks like it’s going to be a huge opening weekend. If the movie resonates with audiences like past Spider-Man films, it may justify numerous more escapades for Holland’s web-slinger.

For Marvel fans, Pascal’s latest comments may be the biggest takeaway. She didn’t say anything definitive about any future Spider-Man films. However, her words indicate that the creative team has plenty of room to explore Peter Parker’s potential. Holland’s MCU journey could be far from over as long as the fans keep showing up.
