Daken is one of the X-Men’s deadliest villains and a fierce opponent to his father Wolverine. As Wolverine’s secret son, Daken was born with mutant abilities similar to his father’s but possesses additional powers that make him arguably stronger.

Who Is Daken? His Origins and Backstory
Daken’s mother Itsu was killed shortly after giving birth by the Winter Soldier, leaving the baby for dead. However, he has survived due to his mutant healing factor. The baby was then taken in by a wealthy Japanese family who raised him as Akihiro, unaware of his true parentage.
Romulus appeared and took the boy in after an accident where Daken had accidentally killed his adopted mother. Romulus then took advantage of the boy, manipulating and training him for several years turning him into a trained warrior with vengeful hate towards his father, Wolverine. He became a part of several criminal organizations and was led to believe by Romulus that Wolverine had actually abandoned him, increasing his spite towards him. This led to him being one of X-Men’s hardest and fiercest foes in a ver long time, all to get back at his father.

Daken’s Powers And Is He Stronger Than Wolverine?
Although possessing many of the same abilities and powers as his father such as regenerative healing and the possession of an adamantium skeleton and claws, it’s notable that Daken is stronger than Wolverine due to some advantages. His healing factor is not situational but mentally commanded, making it instant and faster. His skeletal system is coated in the metal of the Muramasa blade, helping him cut through almost virtually anything imaginable.
Along with these astounding powers, he has control over his pheromones. This comes in handy especially when trying to be stealthy or manipulate people. Daken achieves this by secreting it to influence the emotion and judgment of his foes. This makes him twice as lethal as Wolverine and even more stealthier. Both Wolverine and Daken are incredibly powerful, thanks to their mutant abilities, but Daken’s training by Romulus mixed with his extra abilities have led many readers to believe that his father is no match for him.
