Brendan Fraser Set To Take On Lead Role In ‘Rental Family’ After His Oscar Win

Brendan Fraser, who won an Oscar for his last role in ‘The Whale‘, is finally set to play another lead role in a film. Fraser has himself claimed that he has been very picky when it comes to choosing films after his role in ‘The Whale‘. Well, we guess he has finally found a film worthy of his appearance, and fans can’t wait to see him again on the screen.

Brendan has been trying to stay relevant through his television roles and is seemingly in no rush while selecting movies to work in. But the spell is finally broken, and he is set to take up the lead role in the movie ‘Rental Family‘ next.

As per Deadline, Brendan has been confirmed to be a part of the ‘Rental Family‘, directed by Mitsuyo Miyazaki. Also popularly known as Hikari, the director has been working on this project since 2019 and promises to deliver a phenomenal performance. No wonder the movie felt right to Fraser, given the efforts and time its director is seemingly putting behind its making.

As the story moves further, the lead character comes across unexpected turns, eventually bringing him joy within his own built-in family.

The film’s cast members include Mari Yamamoto, Akira Emoto, Takehiro Hira, and Brendan Fraser. The production of the film will reportedly begin in Japan during spring. Other than these basic details, not much has been revealed about the movie yet.
