As Taylor Swift gears up for her 19th April album release, Joe Alwyn is thriving in his own career as the actor’s new film, ‘Kinds Of Kindness’ starring alongside Emma Stone and Margaret Qualley, both of whom happen to be two of Swift’s closest friends while Margaret is married to Swift’s producer and close friend Jack Antonoff, is set to get screened at the Cannes Film Festival, the most prestigious film festival in the world.
Yesterday, Cannes released their list of officially selected films that will be screened at the festival. Alwyn took to Instagram to share the trailer and a few shots of the film, along with the announcement that it will be screened at Cannes.

What Is ‘Kinds Of Kindness’ About?
The film’s trailer does not give away much about the plot, but a synopsis reads, “Kinds of Kindness is a triptych fable, following a man without choice who tries to take control of his own life; a policeman who is alarmed that his wife who was missing at sea has returned and seems a different person; and a woman determined to find a specific someone with a special ability, who is destined to become a prodigious spiritual leader.”
Margaret Qualley and William Dafoe previously collaborated with Emma Stone and Yorgos Lanthimos on the film ‘Poor Things’, which took home four Oscars at the 96th Academy Awards. Additionally, Joe Alwyn is rejoining Stone and Lanthimos’ cast in Kinds of Kindness following his appearance in The Favourite.
