Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga’s ‘Joker’ is the next biggest Warner Bros. endeavor as Phoenix returns as the titular character- which bagged him an Oscar in 2019. As the film continues shooting, more details have come out, all of which add up to the film’s immense hype.
As of now, the film’s musical aspects have been released, giving viewers a look into what musical twist Gaga will bring to the film. Here’s everything you need to know about the film’s music.
Musical Aspects Of ‘Joker 2’
Variety has been informed by insiders with access to filming and early versions of Todd Phillips’ much anticipated “Joker” sequel that the picture leans heavily toward being “mostly a jukebox musical,” with at least fifteen covers of “very well-known” songs.
One is reportedly “That’s Entertainment” from the Judy Garland-famous 1953 musical “The Band Wagon.” There is, nevertheless, talk of there being one or more original songs to be included in the film.
It’s not yet known who will be in charge of writing, composing, and singing the songs, but we are leaning towards Gaga being a part of the process.
Hildur Guðnadóttir, the Oscar-winning composer of the first “Joker” film will also contribute to the film’s music.

More Details About Joaquin Phoenix And Lady Gaga’s Film
According to Variety, the sequel’s budget is getting close to $200 million, which is a big increase over the $60 million of the first movie. With the success of Denis Villenueve’s “Dune: Part Two,” Warner Bros. has high expectations for this sequel.
Though the movie’s story is still unknown, “Joker 2” has been called a “drama set in and around the world of Arkham Asylum.” Based on inside information, the sequel is expected to continue from where the first movie left off, with Arthur fleeing Arkham Asylum and escaping the orderlies after killing a doctor.
“Joker: Folie à Deux” will hit theaters on Oct. 4.
