The trailer for the film opens with an adorably clumsy meet cute between exes Allie (Alison Brie) and Sean (Jay Ellis). Feelings come crawling back as they walk around the town and talk about good times and missed opportunities.
When it looks like a reconciliation is on the cards, Allie finds out about Sean’s marriage. Allie sticks around and finds herself taken by Cassie (Kiersey Clemons), the bride-to-be. She begins to see more of her in Cassie. All this sets the stage for heartbreak.
The movie’s official plot reads, “On a trip to her hometown, workaholic Ally reminisces with her ex Sean and starts to question everything about the person she’s become. Things only get more confusing when she meets Cassidy, who reminds her of the person she used to be.“
