Top 10 Most Anticipated Movies Of 2024

2023 was a cinematic rollercoaster, and 2024 is going to be an even better one with the movies that are set to release this year. A barrage of sequels awaits the audience, while some other anticipated movies are high-budget, star-studded affairs.

The year that went by also saw the SAG-AFTRA strikes that stalled the production of several movies since the actors or people in their production were involved in the strike. That is also another reason that 2024 is going to be a much anticipated year, with the postponed movies getting a release this year. Here are the 10 most anticipated movies of 2024.

Mean Girls

The iconicMean Girls‘ is getting a reboot in 2024 but with an interesting twist. While many would imagine the second part to be a remake, it is instead an adaptation of the 2018 Broadway musical. Directed by Samantha Jayne and Arturo Perez Jr., and written again by Tina Fey, the movie will be released on January 12. Angourie Rice and Renée Rapp will play the lead roles, with a promise to deliver the familiar high school drama.

This action-packed comedy by director Matthew Vaughn ‘Argylle’ will be a star-studded affair with Dua Lipa, Henry Cavill, John Cena, Samuel L. Jackson, and Ariana Debose. Releasing on February 2, the movie is based on Bryce Dallas Howard’s books. It will be a combination of thrill and comedy, with the stars adding a cherry on top.

Madame Web

Marvel’s ‘Madame Web‘ will swing into action on Valentine’s Day. Starring Dakota Johnson as the paramedic with a knack for peering into the future, the film will also include Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O’Connor, and Isabela Merced. The film promises a combination of supernatural abilities and deadly forces to keep the audience on the edge of their seats.

Bob Marley: One Love

Another Valentine’s Day release will bring cinema lovers a sneak peek into the soulful journey of reggae legend Bob Marley. The lead character played by Kingsley Ben-Adir will take the audience through an emotional journey through Marely’s musical career, the 1976 shooting at his home, and his death at the age of 36.

Dune: Part Two

The next part of Denis Villeneuve’s epic saga ‘Dune: Part Two’ will hit the silver screen on March 1. Starring Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, and an ensemble of A-list actors, the movie will show Paul Atreides seeking revenge. The characters will battle against a dark future. The sequel promises to deliver magnificent visuals and intense storytelling.

Kung Fu Panda 4

Adding more to the narrative would be a chilling villain known as the Death Chill. The paranormal adventure will be released on March 29 with a combination of laughs and goosebumps.

Releasing on March 29, the movie would also have Mark Ruffalo and Toni Collette in it.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire

Civil War

Set in an apocalyptic setting, this movie by Alex Garland will take us into the realm of ‘Civil War’ depicting the United States in a fractured state as a conflict ensues. Starring Kristen Dunst, Jesse Plemons, and Cailee Spaeny as the lead cast, this action-packed film will explore a nation divided, with the Western Forces facing off against the US government.

So the cinema lovers might as well get their popcorn ready because 2024 is shaping up to be a blockbuster year at the box office!
