Lucky Number Slevin
This movie was released in 2006 and is a jovial light-hearted crime thriller. It was directed by Paul McGuigan and stars Josh Hartnett, Morgan Freeman, Ben Kingsley, Lucy Liu, Stanley Tucci, and Bruce Willis. The film follows the story of a very unlucky guy name Slevin. His whole life is in topsy turvy as he loses his job, house, his girlfriend and all of this happens on the same day. He then goes to New York to visit one of his friends but finds out that he is missing. The friend is indebted to some dangerous people who misunderstand Slevin with his friend. The movie has everything from great action to humor to the best cast and yes a mind-blowing climax too.
Shutter Island
One word to describe this film? Masterpiece. The film is directed by Martin Scorsese and was released in 2010. It is actually based on a book of the same name. In the story, we follow US Marchall Teddy Daniels and his partner. The duo travel to Ashcliff hospital for a special investigation. However, soon they realize that it’s not just a normal hospital. It is indeed a very dark and intense story with amazing actors like Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Ruffalo.

The Life Of David Gale
This is a dramatic crime thriller film and was released in 2003. The film follows the story of a man named David Gale. He is a college professor and a social activist against the death penalty. Gale gets sentenced to death for murder. However, he agrees to tell his life story to Bitsey Bloom, a journalist from a major news network. However, while listening to his story Bloom starts to doubt if he is actually the murderer. The story has a heart-shattering ending so I would advise you to exercise caution like having a big pillow to cry into.
Saw
‘Saw‘ is one of the most interesting horror films and if you love to watch horror films this is a must-watch. James Wan is the director of this film. The story follows a criminal genius called Jigsaw. He is an evil man who tortures and kills people but in his own style. He plays a kind of game with them also proving them a chance to survive. And don’t forget there is an excellent plot twist waiting for you.
Avengers Infinity War
Okay, we are a little biased in including this film in the list. I most certainly am not. Although we most probably guess the ending in a Marvel movie this one made our heart stop. The movie follows the Avenger on the quest of finding the infinity stones before the supervillain Thanos gets them and becomes indestructible. However, things don’t go as planned.

‘Seven‘ is a 1995 detective thriller movie that stars some A-list actors like Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Kevin Spacey. The movie was a huge success at the box office as it grossed $327.3 million worldwide. It became one of the highest-performing films of the year. In the film, we follow detective William and his partner David. They take up a case of serial killers whose murders are based on the seven deadly sins.
The Prestige
This movie is a science fiction mystery thriller. It stars Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman, and Scarlett Johansson. In the movie, we follow the rivalry of two stage magicians named Robert Angier and Alfred Borden. The story is set in 19th-century London. However, the little stage competition turns into a war each both of them will cross any limits. The whole movie seems like a big magic trick in itself which is going to leave you awestruck with its plot twist.
Fight Club
How can we miss this one? David Fincher’s 1999 film stars Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, and Helena Bonham Carter. The movie draws its story from a novel of the same name which is written by Chuck Palahniuk. The story follows an officer who leads a very mundane life and thus forms a fight club with a guy named Tyler Durden.
Primal Fear
This movie is both a crime drama and a mystery thriller. The plot revolves around an altar boy who is accused of the murder of an Archbishop. A lawyer from Chicago takes up the case in order to prove the boy innocent. There are a lot of red herrings and false speculations and also an ending that no one saw coming.
