10. Counting Till Nine in ‘Me, Myself & Irene’ (2000)
Jim Carrey definitely has a knack for catching his co-stars completely off guard. In ‘Me, Myself & Irene’, there is the one scene where Hank and Irene decide to push their car off a cliff after abandoning it.
Instead of counting to ten, Hank bizarrely tells Irene to push on the count of nine. And then, he races through the countdown in barely seconds, making the moment even funnier. The line was improvised by Carrey, and it brought out a genuinely bewildered reaction from Renée Zellweger.

9. Smokin! in ‘The Mask’ (1994)
‘The Mask’ is definitely one of Carrey’s biggest comedy roles. The exaggerated expressions, the cartoon-like energy and the nonstop gags—everything just fits perfectly to show Carrey’s unique talents.

5. Imitating Hannibal Lecter in ‘The Cable Guy’ (1996)
During the Medieval Times dinner scene in ‘The Cable Guy’, Carrey decided to make one of the most chilling and unforgettable pop culture references. After asking Steven for the skin from his chicken, Chip bizarrely drapes it over his face before saying, “Hello, Clarice”.
He was imitating Anthony Hopkins’ unforgettable Hannibal Lecter in ‘The Silence of the Lambs’. The absurd impression was completely unscripted and on-the-spot improv, yet somehow perfectly matched the character.
