‘Fifty Shades of Grey‘ remains one of the most successful erotic romantic drama films despite being controversial for its graphic content. Released on February 13, 2015, the film collected around $569 million at the box office with its premiere taking place at the 69th Berlin International Film Festival the same month.

All About ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’
‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ is an erotic romantic drama film that is based on a novel by E.L. James. Directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, the film broke several box office records after its release despite being banned in a few countries.
The main plot of the film focuses on two characters – Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey. The duo meets for the first time when the former’s roommate fails to interview Grey, who is an entrepreneur. They eventually start a sadomasochistic relationship and the results of the same are featured in the entire film.
The lead roles are played by Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan. The success of the film led to two sequels, ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ and ‘Fifty Shades Freed’, released in 2017 and 2018.
