The movie premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 9, 2023. The movie focuses on the years that defined her life from 1938 to 1948 when she worked as a war correspondent for Vogue.

The famous artist is known for her photograph taken from the bathtub that once belonged to Adolf Hitler in 1945.
The interest in the life of Lee Miller surged after Carolyn Burke penned a biography on Miller’s career. This was followed by multiple exhibitions of images she had taken. The former model was born in 1907 and had taken a keen interest in photography from an early age. It was in the 1940s that Miller became an accredited photographer. ‘Lee’: All About The Biopic
The movie ‘Lee’ portrays the life of one of the groundbreaking photographers Lee Miller. Alongside Kate Winslet, Andy Samberg will appear as fellow war photographer David Scherman. Marion Cotillard, Andrea Riseborough, Samuel Barnett, Zita Hanrot, Alexander Skarsgard, and Josh O’Connor are also part of the cast.
The film has been in development for a very long time. It had been announced back in 2015. But the movie started filming in September last year in Croatia and Hungary. The movie is also the directorial debut of the celebrated cinematographer Ellen Kuras. It is not just Miller’s life but the war will also be traced through the movie.
