Artists Like Bad Bunny And Blackpink Creates History By Headlining The Festival
For the 2023 Coachella Festival, there will be history makers who will be headlining the event. Blackpink becomes the first K-pop group to ascend the stage at the festival. Another artist who created ripples in the year 2022, Bad Bunny, will be the first Latin act to headline the festival.
Benito MartÃnez Ocasio aka Bad Bunny was the top artist in 2022 due to his charting music. The reggaeton musician created Grammys history with his album ‘Un Verano Sin Ti.’ It became the first Spanish album to get a nomination for ‘Album of the Year.’ He won a Grammy for ‘Best Música Urbana Album’ at the Grammys 2023.
During an interview with Times, Bad Bunny talked about this feat. He said, “I performed at Azteca. I performed at Yankee Stadium. I’ve performed every place. Coachella is going to be another … performance to me.” Bad Bunny added, “Obviously I’m excited. I want to do my best.”
The rapper added, “There’s a lot of megastars that have performed at Coachella before so I don’t want to compete with any of them. I just want to be myself. A lot of legends have performed at Coachella but no one like me. There’s never been a Benito performing at Coachella. And that’s the cool thing for me.”
