She asserted that she was not stepping away from her career but rather choosing to ignore the negativity. “When I say ‘I quit,’ I mean I quit giving any negative energy attention,” she explained, reaffirming that she’s still equally dedicated to her music and fans who uphold her.

Even though she is mired in these controversies, Lizzo says she aims to spread joy through her music and connect with her audience. “What I’m not gonna quit is the joy of my life, which is making music, which is connecting to people, because I know I’m not alone,” she affirmed in her latest video.
