The internet was shocked today by what greeted them on social media. And some might actually be happy about it while others are not at all. According to Rich The Kid, Kanye West or Ye, as he is known now, is retiring from professional music.
But is this true? Text messages exchanged between them suggest so. West has been facing multiple lawsuits right now. As is his company Yeezy. But would that lead him to quit music once and for all? There have been no comments from the rapper himself yet.

Kanye West To Retire From Music
Rich The Kid and Kanye West share a good work relationship since he has worked with Yeezy in the past. Kid even appeared on ‘Vultures‘ anthem ‘Carnival’ alongside Ty Dolla $ign and Playboi carti. And now, he posted a text conversation between him and West that suggests he might retire from music.
“I am retiring from professional music Not sure what else to do,” Ye wrote in the message. To this, Rich The Kid replied, “Retire? Why? How? The ppl NEED you the music you & Ty & we have made the BIGGEST STAMP in culture to this date in 2024. Drop Ye about mine & V2 and we do it all over again the kids need you big bra fasho maybe some time to chill but retiring ain’t it.”

Interestingly, The ‘New Freezer‘ rapper deleted the text message about half an hour later from his Instagram Story. But this has still left the world in shock. And fans of Ye have gone crazy on X.
