She was born Alecia Beth Moore on September 8th, 1979 in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Both her parents, Judith Moore and Jim Moore were humble working professionals. They got separated when Alecia aka P!nk was ten years old. The artist had early brushes with music when she attended Central Bucks High School.
In school, she was a member of a band named ‘Middleground’. At the age of 14, she started to perform at clubs and soon auditioned to become a member of a band called ‘Basic Instinct’.
