Sabrina Carpenter is having the biggest year of her career, thanks to mother Taylor Swift. As Sabrina joins her for the Sydney shows, on Friday, Swift delighted the audience with a heartfelt mashup of two songs for the night’s surprise songs section. Bonus: she brought out Sabrina to sing along with her.
The performance garnered appreciation of thousands of fans who went crazy over the collaboration. Well, fans certainly want to see them together more.
Sabrina Carpenter And Taylor Swift’s Friendship
If you have followed Sabrina Carpenter since her Disney days, you would know that she has always been the biggest Swiftie ever. Ever since 2022, both the pop stars have quietly hung out with each other in after parties and award shows. After a lot of speculation, in 2023, Taylor Swift announced Sabrina to be her tour opener for her Latin shows, consisting of Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil. Later on, she extended Carpenter’s performance, also adding her for the Australian and Singapore dates.
Apart from touring together, Sabrina and Swift have also been hanging out at dinner dates and during NFL games too.

As Sabrina attended Swift’s show at Sydney as an opener, she was later on called out again to perform a medley of White Horse’ and ‘Coney Island’.

Previously, due to some weather conditions, Sabrina Carpenter was not able to open the show and her act was cancelled. Later on, Swift called her on stage, with a sweet introduction and the two proceeded to play a song that Carpenter had covered as a child, years ago.

Sabrina then came out, dressed in a cute little silver shimmery dress and they both proceeded to play the surprise songs for the night.

The performance was one of the sweetest, most memorable moments for Sabrina stans and Swifties alike.
Later on, Sabrina took to Instagram to post a few clips from their performance and a tweet from 2019 where she wrote about not being able to get into a Taylor Swift karaoke contest.
In the caption she wrote, “9 year old Sabrina singing white horse would never see this shit coming!. I love you so so so dearly taylor. always have always will. Thank you Sydney for making me feel so welcome!! See you tonight” followed by a heart emoji.
