She has been expanding her beauty and lingerie business. Rihanna also found love in Rakim Mayers aka A$AP Rocky. The songstress also got her first Oscars nomination with ‘Lift Me Up’. She was also nominated for Golden Globe Awards 2023. Her recent performance may accelerate her chances to win the coveted trophy at this year’s ceremony.

    It was 13 powerful minutes at the State Farm Stadium in Arizona when queen RiRi took over the stage during the Halftime Show. She wore an all-red Loewe ensemble for her performance. She performed some of her greatest hits like “B***h Better Have Money’, ‘We Found Love’, ‘Work’, ‘Diamonds’, and others. Many people tuned in to watch her performance. Fox estimated that 115 million people watched the Super Bowl.

    The performance comes on the heels of the upcoming 95th Academy Awards ceremony in March 2023. Rihanna has been nominated under the ‘Best Original Song’ category for ‘Lift Me Up’ . It is her first Oscar nomination. The criteria of selection for the ‘Best Original Song’ changed in 1942. The songs will only be nominated if they are written ‘originally’ for the film. Her Super Bowl performance, though she did not perform the nominated song, can influence her to win at Oscars 2023.

    Rihanna did a press conference ahead of her Super Bowl performance. During the conference, she talked about the most difficult thing during the production of the performance. RiRi has a career that spans 17 years with eight albums. So, for the singer, it was difficult to fit all her smashing hits in 13 minutes.

    She said, “Some songs we have to lose because of that, and that’s going to be okay. We did a pretty good job at narrowing it down. There’s probably been about 39 versions of the setlist right now. We’re on our 39th. Every little change counts”.
