Released on February 22, the series managed to have 21.2 million viewers and 153.4 million hours of watch time, making a strong debut surpassing the number of ‘One Piece’ adaptations.

Despite mixed reviews, the series climbed to the top spot on Netflix’s Top 10 TV shows list. The ‘One Piece’ adaptation received 18.5 million viewers and 140.1 million hours of watch time in the same time frame.

While the show’s first week has been a huge success, the future popularity of ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ depends on the positive viewership. But with the potential second season, there are chances that the series will break its existing record as well.

However, there is no official confirmation of whether ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender‘ will return for a second season. But the cast of the show have shared insights about the second season of the show.

Kiawentiio who plays Katara on the show said, “I definitely hope for Season 2 and Season 3—I think we all really want that for this show. I am proud of what we’ve done for season one, but I think there’s just so much to look forward to as well. In the animated series, it just gets better and better each season. So there’s a lot of scenes that I’d love to recreate and relationships that I’d love to see.”
