Netflix’s’ Wednesday’ has reportedly had an unexpected setback after production on the third season was temporarily halted after new cast member Eva Green got hurt. The actress is reportedly making a good recovery. However, the incident has sparked speculation about whether it will impact the show’s shooting schedule.
Production Reportedly Rearranged After Eva Green’s Injury

Green was injured in her leg earlier this month while shooting in Dublin, Ireland, according to The Sun report. The actress was said to have needed hospital care, which led to a temporary restructuring of the production schedule to give her the time she needed to recover.

The publication quoted a source as saying the injury was “really nasty” and that the production team did everything they could to make sure the actress was okay. “This was really nasty. Eva sustained an injury and was clearly in pain and producers were taking no chances. Medics were called and Eva went to hospital. She underwent treatment and is now recovering well.”
Netflix has not commented on the report, which hasn’t specified what exactly happened to Green. In Season 3, Green joined on Wednesday as Aunt Ophelia Frump, a troubled sister of Morticia Addams. The character was teased in the Season 2 finale as a mysterious new threat after escaping from psychiatric confinement. She is to be a big part of the upcoming season.
‘Wednesday’ Season 3 Can Still Be On Track

The production is likely to be unaffected by the reported interruption. Television series are shot out of sequence, so crews may be able to shoot scenes without the unavailable cast member. Hunter Doohan, who co-starred in the film, announced earlier this year that the production would take about seven to eight months to shoot before going into a long post-production phase.

If that’s the case, then Season 3 of ‘Wednesday’ will likely be available on Netflix sometime next spring or early summer. Earlier, Green spoke about her excitement to join the series, stating that the Addams Family world is a “deliciously dark and witty world” and that she was excited to bring her own eccentricity to Aunt Ophelia.
Fans are hoping that Green will make a full recovery for now. The viewers are looking forward to seeing what she has to offer, Nevermore, when the cameras finally roll again at full speed with her character as one of Wednesday Addams’ new most dangerous enemies.
