In today’s day and age, especially in the 21st century, air transport is considered to be one of the safest ways to travel. Newer technology and robust engineering have made transport very convenient and safe. But at the same time, there have been some cases where everyone from experts to the common public was left bamboozled.
One such case is the disappearance of the Malaysian Airlines flight MH370. The flight left from Kuala Lumpur International Airport on 8 March 2014 for its destination Beijing Capital International Airport but it never reached there.

The Disappearance Of The Flight MH370
On March 8, 2014, the regular flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing left from Kuala Lumpur International Airport as per usual at 00:35 local time. When it was over the South China Sea at around 01:19 MYT, it made voice contact for the last time. The flight disappeared from commercial flight radars at 01:22 MYT, though it was still being tracked by military radars. The military radars tracked the plane’s sharp left turn towards the Malaya peninsula.
The military radars lost contact with the plane around 02:22 when it was flying over the Andaman Sea. The further route that the airplane took was not known to the point, but it is estimated that the flight should have ended up somewhere in the Southwest Indian Ocean. The flight was supposed to reach Beijing at 06:30 local time but it never reached the airport.
Experts have since hypothesized that since the flight had fuel to cover 7-8 hours of journey, it might have run out of fuel and crashed in the Southern Indian Ocean. It is assumed that all 239 occupants on the plane (227 passengers and 12 crew members) have died.

In the end, though there are still hundreds of families that to date have no answers to their family members’ disappearances. The docuseries hopes to answer some of them while also raising more questions for the authority figures.
