“They Love Having Me Run”: Sadie Sink Teases Max’s Fate In Final Season Of ‘Stranger Things’

The final season ofStranger Thingsis expected to come out in 2025. The sci-fi Netflix series fandom brews theories about how the villain Vecna would be defeated in the finale. Meanwhile, doing a cover story with Variety, actor Sadie Sink gives a teaser for the upcoming season. Sadie plays the character Max Mayfield in the Netflix series. In the last episode of season four, Max is in a coma.

It was made unclear whether Max would come out of her coma. Sadie has been filming for the final season with her co-stars in Atlanta. We can expect some action from Max but whether it would be in Hawkins or Upside Down is not confirmed. In her interview with Variety, Sadie let in a little clue about her character.

Will Max Come Out Of Coma In ‘Stranger Things’ Season 5?

In season four of the Duffer Brothers’ production, Vecna makes Max his last sacrifice for his ritual. Max was trying to lure Vecna into her body so that Eleven could destroy him in physical form. However, Max ends up losing her eyesight and breaks all the bones in her body. Under trauma, Max dies but Eleven restarts her heart with her powers and Max ends up in a coma.

Since Stranger Things fans have been guessing whether Max will come out of her coma. Sadie fanned the flames of the theories. “They love having me run. That’s all I’ll say,” she said. Could Max come out of her coma or will she fight Vecna in the Upside Down? It is unclear, but the Duffer brothers, Matt and Ross have confirmed, “She’s going to play a part in the season.”

Sadie’s Plans After ‘Stranger Things’

As ‘Stranger Things‘ comes to an end, Sadie is looking forward to the future. Sadie joined the Netflix series when she was 14 years old. She calls her time on the Stranger Things set as, “the best training in the world.” In her interview with Variety, Sadie confesses that she found her voice with the help of ‘Stranger Things‘ and Taylor Swift.

However, The Whale actor found her role monotonous. Sadie told Variety,  “I don’t want to play a superhero or a princess…I just want to make sure everything that I’m doing is different than the last. I’m still young, and I’m still learning.” Currently, the ‘Eli‘ actress is shooting for ‘Stranger Things‘ in Atlanta.
