Get ready for another semester of spooky shenanigans with Wednesday season 2. Production for Wednesday Addams‘ sophomore year is officially underway. It seems like season 2 of the series is going to be up to the expectations if not better 

More kooky characters, eerie mysteries, and twisted adventures are brewing. So, here’s a breakdown of everything we know so far about ‘Wednesday‘ Season 2. Additionally, Netflix has yet to announce a release date, but filming kicking off in May suggests a potential arrival sometime in 2024 or early 2025.

Fresh Faces Joining The Addams Family in ‘Wednesday’ Season 2

Nevermore’s student body is expanding with a slew of new characters. Adding a touch of mystery, details about a new character simply known as “Grandmama” are under wraps.  Speculation is running wild online, with some fans theorizing she could be a previously unknown member of the Addams clan. 

Additionally, A new principal will also be taking the reins at Nevermore.  Steve Buscemi steps into the role of Dr. Valerie Kinbott, but whether he’ll prove to be a friend or foe to Wednesday remains to be seen. Enhancing the investigative team are characters like Dr. Valerie Kinbott and Calliope Capri Thorne played by Billie Piper.

A Lot Of Familiar Faces Will Be Back For Season 2

While Wednesday will undoubtedly be at the center of the action, her quirky classmates will also be back.  Expect to see Jenna Ortega reprise her role as the sardonic sleuth, along with returning favorites like Emma Myers (Enid Sinclair), Joy Sunday (Bianca Barclay), and Hunter Doohan (Tyler Gallup). 

However, there’s a notable absence, Percy Hynes White, who played psychic student Xavier Thorpe in season one, won’t be returning due to sexual misconduct allegations. Fans of the show are really happy about the news. Additionally, The guest stars Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams), Luis Guzmán (Gomez Addams), Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley Addams), and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (Sheriff Deputy Ritchie Santiago) have been promoted to series regular.

Wednesday’ Season 2 will take place in a new location.  This shift in scenery promises fresh visuals and potentially new supernatural lore to explore.  Adding to the excitement is a star-studded list of guest appearances. Season 2 boasts names like Christopher Lloyd (yes, the Back to the Future Doc Brown himself!), and Thandiwe Newton. 

Additionally, even a former Addams Family alum – Joanna Lumley will appear on the show.  Their roles are yet to be revealed, but their presence guarantees some scene-stealing moments. While plot details remain shrouded in mystery, whispers suggest Wednesday might be facing a new supernatural threat.  

Could it be another monster lurking in the shadows, or perhaps a more personal danger emerges? One thing’s certain: Wednesday Addams fans are eagerly awaiting their next dose of dark humor, thrilling mysteries, and the delightfully morbid antics of our favorite teenage goth detective.
