LeBron James Creates History By Breaking Kareem Abdul Jabbar’s Record
On Tuesday night, legendary football player LeBron James created history by scoring more points than any NBA player ever. He scored 38,387 points in front of a packed and enthusiastic crowd of fans.
The record was earlier held by fellow Los Angeles Laker Kareem Abdul-Jabbar who had scored 31,419 points on April 5, 1984. After nearly four decades, a new name has appeared at the top of the NBA’s all-time points ranking.
In the third quarter, the record was broken by James at his 36th point on a jumper against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Kareem was in the audience to watch the match live and he, later on, stood beside James as the latter addressed the crowd.
