Dwayne Johnson’s Explicit Rant Compels WWE To Mute WrestleMania 40

Dwayne Johnson returned to the ring more than a decade later, for his first match since 2013, matching against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in WrestleMania 40. The Rock went through weeks of intensive training to get into shape for the event, and performed well, except for one minor injury and a controversial X rated tirade that forced WWE to mute till he was done.

Johnson had a moment of anger as he shouted at the referee to not count anyone out, threatening to fire him. He said, “You count, you’re fired. You understand? You know The Rock, I don’t *f*** around“. He then added, “You count, you’re fired.” His speech broke WWE protocols and the broadcast was muted for a while as explicit language isn’t telecasted.

Though he won the match, his behaviour led many to speculate if the actor is getting preferential treatment from the organisation as to tolerate his behaviour. He also spoke up about if he would return to WWE after Wrestlemania and said, “There might be. I can’t elaborate more on that, but there might be. We’ll see.”

In another foul mouthed rant, The Rock launched in another graphic rant as he shouted at a producer for telling him about how his rivalry with Cody Rhodes has taken too. much of a realistic turn. As it seems, Johnson didn’t like that and blasted the producer in foul language.

“F**k that,” he shouted back. “Shut your mouth. Clear my a**. How did that feel? Did that feel good? What, just because the show is over? That doesn’t mean this s**t stops. The Rock doesn’t give a f**k.”

“What? Show is over and it stops? F**k that. Your script, f**k that” he shouted before walking away.

The video was posted by Dwayne himself as he captioned it, “I hate constraints and bullshit rules – and just because some @wwe producer says, “clear” (meaning, we are no longer live on the air and the show is over) that doesn’t mean I just stop whatever I’m doing and tell everyone great job. It fucking pissed me off. I can’t shut my high emotions off just because a script says we’re done. But even in this crazy fucking world of pro wrestling – this is a microcosm of a larger issue I have with individuals, corporations & governments – telling us what we can or can’t do. You have to do it this way, you have to say it that way, or you’ll get cancelled. They create fear if you have a different perspective and don’t live by their rules. It’s their way, or no way.”
