What Happened To Jacklyn Zeman?
Jacklyn Zeman was 70 years old when she passed away this morning. She was fighting a difficult battle with cancer which finally led to her demise.
The news of her passing was announced by ‘General Hospital‘ executive producer, Frank Valentini. “I am heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved Jackie Zeman,” shared Valentini in a Twitter post, adding, “Just like her character, the legendary Bobbie Spencer, she was a bright light and a true professional that brought so much positive energy with her work.”
Not only Valentini, but ABC Entertainment has also given a statement via a tweet that reads, “Jacklyn Zeman has been a beloved member of the General Hospital and ABC family since she originated the iconic role of Bobbie Spencer over 45 years ago”. The tweet also read, “She leaves behind a lasting legacy for her Emmy-nominated portrayal of the bad girl turned heroine and will always be remembered for her kind heart and radiant spirit. We are devastated by the news of her passing, and send our deepest condolences to Jackie’s family, friends and loved ones.”

All About Jacklyn Zeman
Zeman had been a prominent name in the soap opera industry. Two of her most prominent roles are as Lana McClain in ‘One Life to Live’ and as Bobbie Spencer in ‘General Hospital.’
She has also received numerous awards including three Daytime Emmy Awards. Zeman has also been nominated for one Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
Zeman has also appeared in several shows outside of soap operas. She is also known for her roles in ‘National Lampoon’s Class Reunion’, ‘Young Doctors in Love‘ and ‘The Bay’.
