Hugh Jackman Going To Be “Honest With Himself” With A New Memoir

Divorces and memoirs seem to be the trends this year. The year was cursed to see divorces of star couples, who one thought they would never see separate ever. Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness had ended their marriage recently which shocked many. However, the actor has now decided to write a memoir.

Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness became a couple after they were cast together in Correlli (1995). They faced obstacles in their dating life due to the 13-year age difference between the two. In the end, they tied the knot, but their life doesn’t seem to have a fairy tale ending. It’s after 27 years of marriage that they decided to split.

Hugh Jackman, according to Us Weekly, has started to pen his life story. “Hugh is currently working on a memoir. He is in the early stages of writing it,” a source told the publication.

“Hugh’s choosing to now because he’s finally honest with himself and the divorce and this book is the first step,” the source points out. Though the ideas for the book started post-divorce, the book is not all about it.

Sources claim to have more “bombshells” in the book and not just his divorce from Deborra-Lee Furness. Similar to many other celebrities, the ‘Wolverine’ actor opted to write the memoir as it can help with his healing.

In 2022, Hugh Jackman shared that he had started with therapy. “It helped me a lot. We all need a village. Having someone really smart, who’s a little bit removed from your world, can be really helpful,” he said to Who Magazine. The ‘Deadpool’ star confided how therapy helped him connect with people he loves. Also to see and understand them better.

Talking of his divorce, it had been more amicable and didn’t have much drama. “There was no drama or fighting — not that anyone is aware of, anyway. Hugh and Deb just reached a point where they were more like best friends,” Us Weekly had mentioned earlier. The star, however, has been spending more time with his friends currently.
