Shanna Moakler and Travis Barker’s relationship has faced a lot of struggles, ups and downs, battles of custody cheating accusations, and more. They both called it quits in 2006 after two years of marriage. And with custody battles, Travis used to compete over who was the better parent.
She revealed that the singer had a narcissistic and controlling personality during their marriage. Shanna felt “securitized” on how they cared for their three children.
Travis Barker Used To Have Competition On Who’s The Better Parent
The former playboy model in an interview with SiriusXM’s ‘Jeff Lewis Live‘ revealed that her and Travis’s marriage was a disaster. Travis used to have a competition on who is the better parent among them and eventually Shanna gave up on their marriage.
Shanna Moakler felt “scrutinized” than the Blink-182 rocker about how they cared for their children: Landon, Alabama, and Barker’s stepdaughter with Moakler, Atiana De La Hoya. She said, “It is a topic that I don’t think a lot of people have really scratched the surface on and really have a clear understanding and it happens to both men and women. Both mothers and fathers“.
The model also added that Barker was a controlling and narcissistic personality, which was more toxic. “I think it really comes from like when you’re dealing with like a narcissist or you’re dealing with a controlling personality,” she added.

Shanna Eventually Gave Up On Travis
It got to an extent when the water went above the line, and she was in a situation of ‘you win and I lose’. She added, “But I gave up, I was never really trying to compete. I gave that up a long time ago,” she explained. “I was like, ‘You win. Like you’re the winner.”
According to her, Travis Barker is a “very famous person” and had a kind of authority with him in the relationship, which at last made her quit the marriage. But She doesn’t have any regrets about the decisions she made. Shanna just wants the best for her children.
The former pageant beauty queen gives “five f**k” about what anyone thinks about her decision. They both don’t share any relationship right now and if she feels like she will “communicate when it comes to any issues with heir kids”. The only thing the ex-couple agreed on was the children and their well-being.
