Musk Conducted A Poll Over His Twitter Ownership
On December 19, Musk conducted a poll asking users, “Should I step down as head of Twitter? I will abide by the results of this poll.” In the poll, over 57.6 percent of users said Yes and around 42.4 percent clicked on No.
It received nearly 17 million votes. Musk responded with “interesting” after users pointed out that the poll was skewed by votes from fake profiles. “Blue subscribers should be the only ones that can vote in policy related polls”, a user said. Musk tweeted in response, “Good point. Twitter will make that change.”
The South African billionaire has been receiving a lot of flak lately for banning journalists on the platform who were critical of him.
