Nicholas Malvagna was arrested a few moments after Bebe Rexha was injured on stage. During his arraignment on June 19, he revealed that he was participating in a TikTok trend where an individual throws his or her phone on stage and a celebrity passes it, taking a selfie in the end.
He further stated: “I thought she was looking in my direction. I was about two rows back, but instead of my phone landing right next to her, my phone hit her in the face.”
Malvagna continued by saying that he was trying to check if he can hit Rexha with the phone towards the end of the show as it will be funny. Nicholas was charged with assault, aggravated harassment, attempted assault, and harassment at the Manhattan Criminal Court.

Bebe Rexha Suffered A Few Injuries And Had To Be Hospitalized
Bebe Rexha’s show was organized in New York on June 18, 2023, and she was hit with a phone. New York City Police Department revealed that she was taken away from the stage when the incident happened.
The singer was also hospitalized immediately and Nicholas was arrested. Rexha later revealed on Instagram that she was recovering from her injuries and a few pictures revealed that she had a black eye and laceration on the eyelid.
