Oscar Isaac Wants ‘The Last Of Us’ Actor And Close Friend Pedro Pascal To Voice A “Cranky, Older Spider-Person” In ‘Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse’

Pedro Pascal has been everywhere, from the apocalyptic lands of America to a galaxy far away. But there’s still one more mountain to climb for the Chilean-American actor. His friend Oscar Isaac is keen for Pascal to conquer one more franchise. Isaac, who voices Miguel O’Hara, hopes Pascal joins him in ‘Beyond The Spider-Verse.’

‘Game Of Thrones’ has added to Pedro Pascal’s popularity as a solid leading man. The world of ‘Spider-Verse’ already comprises infinite variants. But getting the ‘Game Of Thrones’ actor on board will definitely attract more fanfare and ticket sales. In the meantime, fans will hope that strings are pulled, and Pascal is indoctrinated into the superhero genre.

While promoting ‘Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse’ with GQ in a recent interview, Oscar Isaac talked about a potential new casting that would easily excite the fans. He was asked what actors he would love to see in the ever-expanding Spider-Verse, prompting him to support the candidacy of ‘The Last Of Us’ actor Pedro Pascal. He’s even got some character suggestions.

Oscar Isaac hopes the team behind ‘Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse’ can find Pedro Pascal, an elderly and jaded version of Spider-Man, to voice, “They’re so brilliant at finding the right person for the right character, but maybe Pedro Pascal. Let’s find something for him. He should be a Spider-Person, like a cranky, old Spider-Person.”

Oscar Isaac’s dream seems to be far-fetched at the moment. Thanks to his memorable portrayal of Oberyn Martell on ‘Game Of Thrones,’ Pedro Pascal has become the go-to actor for franchise roles. He played Joel in the television adaptation of the video game series ‘The Last Of Us.’ Initially upset, the fans eventually warmed up to the Chilean-American actor’s performance on the show.

Pedro Pascal is also a part of the ‘Star Wars’ galaxy as ‘The Mandalorian,’ a bounty hunter who defies orders and goes on the run to protect Grogu. However, the 48-year-old actor revealed at ‘The Hollywood Reporter’s Drama Actors Roundtable,’ that he’s no longer in the suit. The Chilean-American actor only does voice work for the ‘Star Wars’ show.
