Justin Bieber and his latest album ‘Justice‘ cannot quite be called ‘latest’ now, since it was released almost a year back in March 2019. The pandemic had made the idea of a ‘Justice’ World Tour impossible. However, as soon as the ‘Baby‘ singer saw the green light, he pushed ahead with the much-anticipated tour, making ‘Justice‘ feel like a fresh topic.
The stage, which is an artist’s biggest platform, has been used multiple times for speaking out and advocating for a message. Justin Bieber was the latest artist to speak out on the social issue of racism and connect it with the theme of his album and tour, ‘Justice.’
Justin Bieber Calls Racism ‘Diabolical’
The pop singer recently performed a concert in Trondeheim, Norway, as a part of his ‘Justice‘ world tour. He took a moment to speak out against racism and discrimination along with the purpose of his 2021 album.
“So when we created the Justice album, we wanted to make an intentional moment. A moment of unity, a moment of acceptance, a moment of belonging. In this world, there’s a lot of division, and what justice is, is for us to all come together. We know that racism is evil,” the pop singer said. “It’s wrong. But you and I, we get to be the difference-makers. We get to be the ones to stand with our brothers and sisters and make a change. So I’m so grateful to have each and every one of you guys here tonight being a part of this message, being a part of this journey.”
This wasn’t the only time that the singer had spoken up on the tour. He first spoke against racism in Mexico City in May. “This is a tour of unity and acceptance, we are all the same. In this world, there are many divisions and a lot of racial injustice. We can make a difference, we can be together and unite, racism is diabolical!”
The Canadian Singer Resumed The ‘Justice’ Tour After Fighting The ‘Ramsay Hunt Syndrome’
The Norway concert happened after a brief halt in the ‘Justice‘ tour. A few months back, Bieber announced that he has a rare viral disorder called the Ramsay Hunt syndrome which has affected his face to the point of partial paralysis. The singer could not move one side of his face at all. Owing to that, the singer had to postpone some of his shows. However, on the bright side, Hailey Bieber revealed during an interview with Live With Kelly and Ryan that the medical scare brought the two ‘closer than ever.’
