The Federal Reserve has noticed the economic benefits due to The Eras Tour. The tour has pulled thousands of people to cities around Philadelphia and sharing a statement on the same, the Fed said in the Beige Book that May was the strongest month for hotel sales in Philadelphia after the pandemic.

Booking.com reported that hotel prices have increased in cities where excitement for the shows was witnessed in high amounts. The hotel occupancy rate was around 100% in Allegheny County and a few platforms had to go through issues while bookings were active.

A statement by the Common Sense Institute says that the total sum of the overall tour could lead to revenue of around $4.6 billion in consumer spending and it is more than the GDP of 35 countries.

Taylor Swift will perform next in Denver, Colorado and Common Sense Institute reported that the event is expected to bring profits of almost $140 million. The show will be attended by around 75,000 people and all the concerts are sold out. Other reports state that there could be direct consumer spending worth $200 million.

While the presale for the tour was launched, Ticketmaster crashed and around 2.4 million tickets were sold in a day. The website was also criticized based on allegations of monopoly within the concert industry. However, it has been described as a monocultural event by various publications.
