Why Was Will Smith Dropped Out Of Grammys Performance?
The 65th anniversary of the Grammy Awards was performed on 6th February 2023. The Academy had geared up to celebrate 50 years of hip-hop. Along with all the performances, this time Questlove had produced a hip-hop tribute that included many high-profile celebrities.
Among these celebrities who were a part of the tribute, was also actor Will Smith. However, Smith had to drop out of it due to the production of ‘Bad Boys 4.’ The news of the production of ‘Bad Boys 4’ came out just last week.

What Did Producer Questlove Comment?
The news of the tribute and Will Smith’s back out was revealed by musician and producer Questlove. He produced the 50 years hip-hop tribute that included many celebrities. “I’ll give the spoiler alert away. Will Smith was a part of the festivities tonight, but they started shooting Bad Boys 4 this week,” he told Variety.
Questlove had been very particular about choosing who he wanted to be a part of his performance. Initially, the whole performance was a total of 27 minutes, which he had to cut and shorten it to about 14 minutes. Although he says that he knew getting Will was a “shot in the dark” as he is busy shooting most of the time.
