‘We Need Humor’: Patrick Warburton Says He Won’t Apologize For ‘Family Guy’

Patrick Warburton, one of the main voices of Family Guy says he won’t apologize anymore for being on the show. Patrick is the voice of Joe Swanson on the show and has been a part of it for the last 20 years. But, the show was targeted for its dark humor, especially after cancel culture picked up the pace.

Ironically, however, Warburton says he won’t say sorry, for an issue that actually no one has asked an apology for. Patrick claims to no longer ask for forgiveness for providing “love, humor and acceptance.”

Patrick Warburton Says He Won’t Apologize

Patrick Warburton is an American comedian and actor. He has been on the famous animated sitcom ‘Family Guy’ since it aired almost 20 years ago. The show has been going well for currently 21 seasons now. However, it is also famous for giving very dark humor, some of which are also offensive.

Although no one has actually asked for any apology from him, Patrick has come up to say that he won’t be apologizing for providing humor. “I used to apologize for being on ‘Family Guy and I apologize no more because this world is a horrible native satire,” says the 58-year-old actor.

‘Family Guy’ Criticism

One of the main critics of the show about Patrick Warburton has been his mother, Barbara Lord. She is part of a conservative Christian media advocacy group called The Parents Television and Media Council. There have been critics no doubt, but no one has gone in through with complete outrage to stop the show, except maybe his mother.

Warburton himself doesn’t have any issues with the show unless it is any joke related to Jesus. In one instance in 2015, Patrick refused to do an episode because, as he said, it was “the most offensive thing I’d ever seen ever in any form of media towards Christians.” Continuing, he added, “If that’s in the episode, I can’t do this episode.”
