Elon Musk Bans Twitter Accounts Of Journalists
Last week, there had been a chain of Twitter accounts that faced suspension. These belonged to journalists from different newspapers and news channels. On December 15, 2022, Twitter had banned CNN’s Donie O’Sullivan, The New York Times’ Ryan Mac, and The Washington Post’s Drew Harwell. Independent journalist like Aaron Rupar, former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann, and also the Insider columnist Linette Lopez.
Though the accounts of these journalists became viewable on Saturday, the account holders were not able to post anything through the account. The restriction can only be removed if the journalists remove the tweets that Musk says to have give out his “exact real-time location”. But all the journalists are sure that this is a false accusation. They also strongly debate that they haven’t violated any of the Twitter rules.
