1.‘Star Wars: A New Hope’
It all started with the ‘Star Wars: A New Hope’. George Lucas brought the magic with this one. ‘A New Hope’ had great action and laid the foundation for the Skywalker Saga. Fans got to meet the trio of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Captain Han Solo for the first time.
2. ‘Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back’
After the Rebels ruined the plans of Darth Vader and destroyed the Death Star, it was time for the Empire to strike back(as suggested by the name). Luke starts getting more comfortable with using the Force under the guidance of Master Yoda and the Force spirit of Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Darth Vader also duels with Luke Skywalker. During the duel, Vader makes the biggest revelation of the franchise that he is the father of Luke Skywalker.
3. ‘Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi’
It is the last movie of the original Star Wars trilogy. The movie starts with Luke trying to save Princess Leia and Captain Solo from the Jabba The Hutt on the Tatooine. It was the final gasp of the Rebel alliance against the Empire which was building the second Death Star, but this time it was protected by an energy shield.
The movie features Rebels fighting the Empire to take down the new Death Star. They get help from unexpected friends in Ewoks, cuddly but deadly natives of Endor. It also leads to the redemption of Darth Vader after Luke Pulls him from the dark side of the force.
4. ‘Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith’
‘Revenge Of The Sith’ is the best movie of the Star Wars Prequal. It shows the conflicts of the young Anakin Skywalker, who is the “Chosen One” to bring balance to the force. Later, he is denied to be the Jedi Master, which upsets him.
Palpatine, who is a Sith lord, entices Anakin to turn to the dark side of The Force and in return he will save his wife. Anakin becomes Lord Vader and Palpatine orders them to execute Order 66, the command to kill all the Jedis. Anakin even murders younglings.
The movie has the best lightsaber duel of the franchise in the end with a classic soundtrack. It places the things in the places for the ‘Star Wars: A New Hope’
5. ‘The Mandalorian’
After getting tired of the lightsaber fights and drama between the Empire and Rebels, fans can embark on the journey with bounty hunter, Din Djarin. Joined by his cute little adopted son, Grogu (Baby Yoda), they go on different adventures in the galaxies. ‘The Mandalorian’ is set after the events of ‘Return Of The Jedi’ and features multiple cameos such as Ahsoka Tano, Boba Fett and even Luke Skywalker.
6. ‘Kenobi’
‘Kenobi’ takes place after the events of ‘Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith’. Obi-Wan Kenobi goes on a mission to find young Princess Leia. He later finds out his padwan, Anakin Skywalker who he thought was dead, is still alive.
The show gives fans more of Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi and Hayden Christensen’s Darth Vader. They have a classic fight in the end showing how strong Kenobi really is. McGregor kills as the Obi-Wan Kenobi and shows this role was written for him.
Fans can also watch shows like‘Ahsoka’, and ‘The Book Of Boba Fett’. The list doesn’t feature any movie from the sequel as surely fans do not want to ruin their Star Wars Day with dialogues like “Somehow Palpatine has returned”.
