The family feud has been going on for a very long time now. And it doesn’t seem like it will end anytime soon. What if the royals and the Sussex couples never reconcile? Because either party is dodging their chances to get back together. Prince Harry had recently been in the U.K. and did have a chance to meet King Charles. But it seems like he had other engagements.
Troubles had started in the royal establishment, back in 2019. This led to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepping down from their senior working royal position in 2020. The bombshell Oprah Winfrey interview, the Netflix docu-series ‘Harry & Meghan‘ topped by the memoir ‘Spare’, all led to the rotting of King Charles and Prince Harry’s relationship.

Prince Harry ‘Missed Opportunity’ To Meet King Charles III
Prince Harry spent most of his September in the U.K. and Germany taking part in the WellChilds Awards and the Invictus Games. Harry had been in London on the day of the death anniversary of his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II. The Duke of Sussex went on to visit St. George’s Chapel, where the Queen rests. He was accompanied by Princess Eugene and Princess Beatrice.
King Charles had extended an invite to Prince Harry which he, however, turned down. Thus the ‘Spare’ author was absent from Balmoral Castle Queen Elizabeth II’s death anniversary. Royal experts seem to note that it is a “missed opportunity”. They opine that the 39-year-old shouldn’t have rejected the reported invitation from his father
“He should have braved it out and gone to see them. If the king invites you to Balmoral, then most people would cancel all of their travel plans. He could have easily rearranged things slightly to allow himself the time,” said Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine to Marie Claire.

Reconciliation On King Charles’ Terms
The royal expert is of the opinion that a reconciliation between King Charles and his younger son Prince Harry will be happening on the father’s terms. The memoir ‘Spare’ had remarks on Camilla that had really hurt the monarch. With a lot of deep wounds, it would take a long time to heal the rift between the father and son.
However, the King had been courageous enough to extend an olive branch to his son. “Charles will always welcome him, as he is a forgiving man, and it’s his son. But it has to be on his terms, and Harry has to apologize, not the other way ‘round,” Ingrid Seward commented. So probably Prince Harry will be able to make amendments in case he misses his home, father, and brother.
