Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s wedding may have brought a lot of problems to the royal family but it was one of the most grand weddings that Hollywood has seen. The guests at the 2018 wedding included star faces, especially from the TV show ‘Suits‘ given Meghan Markle’s role in it.
In the grandeur of the royal wedding, Rick Hoffman — who played Louis Litt alongside Meghan on ‘Suits‘ — couldn’t help but notice something off. The actor recently spilled the details about what was the one thing that made him and perhaps many other guests uncomfortable during Meghan and Harry’s wedding.

Rick Hoffman Describes Why He Made His Meme Face During The Royal Wedding
Rick Hoffman aka Louis Litt from ‘Suits‘ was speaking on Barstool Sports’ ‘Chicks in the Office‘ podcast when he revealed that he could smell something extremely foul during Meghan and Harry’s grand wedding back in 2018. The subject came up when a photo from the wedding showed Hoffman with a visibly disgusted expression during the royal event at St. George’s Chapel.
“If you type in my name in on Google, you see [me] making that awful face,” he explained the brief moment that turned into a meme. Hoffman said despite smelling it, he was trying to keep his cool at the royal event, but there were “cameras everywhere” and one managed to capture his struggle.
“And then as time goes on, I’m starting to smell something really terrible and foul,” he recalled, adding that he is “very sensitive” to smells. He finally resorted to covering his nose with a hand slathered in coconut- and vanilla-scented moisturizer, attempting to alleviate the smell.
But he noted that he couldn’t help oit from showing on his face. “I try to cut it,” he said of the stench. “How can I help getting away from this goofy face?” he added.

On ‘Suits‘, Hoffman played the role of Louis Litt, a partner at the fictional Pearson Hardman LLP in New York City. Meghan meanwhile played paralegal Rachel Zane. Although Meghan left the series in 2018, the cast remained connected, with several attending her royal wedding.
‘Suits‘ saw a remarkable resurgence in popularity since the show became available for streaming on Netflix in 2023. The cast also recently reunited at the Golden Globes Awards, though Meghan Markle was not a part of it. The cast also mentioned that they manage to remain in touch otherwise too, through an animated group text.
Meghan Markle who now resides in Montecito, California, with Prince Harry and their two children, has taken a break from the entertainment industry. The couple who stepped back from royal duties in 2020, has ventured into various projects, from launching their Archewell production company to Meghan’s upcoming podcast and the recent unveiling of their Sussex.com website.
