The royal family has had a rough week in terms of health scares. While King Charles and Kate Middleton were hospitalized for different issues, the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson has been diagnosed with another form of cancer again.
Sarah Ferguson has already battled breast cancer and conquered it. But unfortunately, the disease is back to get her. But as the Duchess has fought this battle before, she is embracing her challenges by staying true to her resilient spirit.

What Is It Exactly That Sarah Ferguson Has Been Diagnosed With?
The 64-year-old Sarah Fergusson has been diagnosed with what her friends have referred to as “the worst” form of skin cancer. “This is the worst form of skin cancer you can get,” a friend of hers told Page Six.
“But she always says, ‘onwards and upwards,’” the friend added. “When the duchess was diagnosed with breast cancer, she was very struck by the number of people who responded and were prompted to get a mammogram. I have no doubt that she will want to ensure that people get their skin checked out,” she added.
After the initial diagnosis, the Duchess went through a period of recuperation at Austria’s renowned Mayrlife spa. Now she is trying to navigate her health journey in the company of her beloved, with her signature grace.
The Duchess of Yor has reportedly had multiple moles removed and analyzed by dermatologists during surgery. One of them was found to be cancerous, which pushed for further treatment. A friend of Ferguson’s said that though she has had the malignant melanoma surgically removed, further test results are awaited to determine the extent of additional treatment required. The chances of more surgeries are also high.

The news of her diagnosis came on the heels of other health concerns within the royal family, including Princess Kate’s recovery from major abdominal surgery and King Charles’ upcoming treatment for an inflamed prostate.
Last year, the Duchess was diagnosed with breast cancer and she underwent a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery as its treatment. Also known as Fergie, the Duchess has always had a sense of resilience and a positive outlook, which she is still putting forth.
The Duchess is back at the Royal Lodge, her Windsor home, with her ex-husband Prince Andrew and daughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie taking care of her. She addressed her diagnosis and in an online statement recently.
“Naturally another cancer diagnosis has been a shock, but I’m in good spirits and grateful for the many messages of love and support,“ she said, adding that she is taking some time for herself. “I believe my experience underlines the importance of checking the size, shape, color and texture and emergence of new moles that can be a sign of melanoma and urge anyone who is reading this to be diligent,” she added.
