‘Citadel‘ is a spy-drama TV series set for Amazon Prime Video. The program starring Richard Madden And Priyanka Chopra Jonas is said to be “a big unprecedented worldwide event including a mothership series and multiple local language satellite series.” It is also described as an “action-packed spy series with a gripping emotional heart.” The first two episodes of the first season of the show will release on April 28, 2023, which will be followed by an episode every week. The first season consists of six episodes. ‘Citadel‘ is one of the most expensive TV series made to date with a budget of $250 million.
The series is created by Bryan Oh and Josh Appelbaum and is produced by Joe and Anthony Russo. There will be sister series set in different locations which will be connected to ‘Citadel‘. An Indian adaptation of the series has already been ordered by Amazon Studios. The Italian adaptation had also been ordered with casting yet to be done.

Cast Of The Amazon Studios’ Ambitious Series ‘Citadel’
The series stars Richard Madden as Mason Kane and Priyanka Chopra Jonas as Nadia Sinh. They are joined by actors like Lesley Manville, Stanley Tucci, Ashleigh Cummings, Caoilinn Springall, and Osy Ikhile, as well as Rolland Moller in various supporting roles.
Richard Madden, while talking about his character said, “There are multiple characters and multiple storylines that all intertwine, and I personally play a character who is an amnesiac—eight years of his life, he’s basically become a new person. There’s a journey of discovering who he was before the accident happened, and he no longer remembers anything.”
Priyanka Chopra Jonas also added about her role, “Then I have the exact opposite of that — a spy show with the Russo brothers for Amazon Prime with Richard Madden and Stanley Tucci. It’s called ‘Citadel’ and it’s really going to be amazing. It was a lot of work. I have a lot of scars to prove it.”
In addition to this Madden also said, “It’s a clash between the life that he’s been living for eight years, and the life that he used to live. You get to delve into exploring the psyche of dealing with the consequences of things that you’re not aware that you’ve done.”

Expected Storyline Of The Series
The storyline for the series ‘Citadel‘ hasn’t been revealed yet. There is just a plot summary describing the premise of the story. It is described as a spy series focusing on two spy syndicates Citadel and Manticore. The spy agency Citadel has collapsed and all its agents’ memory has been reset. At the same time, the influence of Manticore is rising in the dilapidated world. The series follows Citadel agents who are trying to uncover the secrets of their past as well as stop any future mishaps.
Laszlo Milla (Rolland Moller) is the lead operative of a rival agency who wants to exact revenge on Mason Kane (Richard Madden) for arresting him. Eight years later, Citadel has been demolished, and all of its agents have no memory of the past. Bernard Orlick (Stanley Tucci)brings together both Kane and Nadia Sinh (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) for a mission to rebuild Citadel and dismantle Manticore.
