What are any of the movies or TV shows without their fans? And Hollywood is not short of fans. Many of the movies and shows have such ardent fans that they are referred to as cult followers. And thanks to them, the others end up discovering so much more that might otherwise go unnoticed.
In one such observation, an Instagram user named Scott Westwood has discovered a link between the McCallister family from ‘Home Alone’ and the cast from the sitcom ‘Friends’. What’s better than a crossover between the much-celebrated movie and the loved Tv show? Here’s what this connection is.

This Fan Says “Home Alone” House Is Related To Chandler And Monica
In a video posted on his Instagram earlier this week, Westwood suggested that “Chandler and Monica from Friends moved into the McAllister’s house from Home Alone.” However, the theory was not baseless. Westwood also laid out video evidence for his claims in the same post.
The video clip that he posted was an edited one combining the scenes from the 1990 film, with the footage of Chandler and Monica in their home. In the latter clip, the iconic Home Alone residence is visible through their window.
The video took no time to go viral. It got about 14.4 million views on Instagram in no time.

How Trues Is This Fan Theory?
Not surprisingly, Daren Janes, the art director of ‘Friends’, also agreed with the theory. “This is hilarious. You caught me,” Janes said in the comments section.
“I was the Art Director on FRIENDS & the house was a set. The actors walked in the front door, so we saw outside,” Janes wrote. “We used the backing from a company called Pacific Studios which was made for Home Alone because it looked the best through the door & windows. Great eye my friend!!!!” he continued.
By Thursday, Janes’ comment got over 103,000 likes and nearly 400 comments. The fans are thrilled with the unexpected crossover theory.
The ‘Home Alone’ house has been a matter of fascination since its introduction in November 1990. The New York Times recently put out a report about the cost of living in the McAllister house today. The house was even offered as an Airbnb stay, along with the iconic booby traps that Kevin set up against the burglars.
The ‘Friends’ two-bedroom apartment was let out as a rental space in 2021. Fans were offered an overnight stay at ‘The Ultimate Sleepover at The Friends Experience’ for just $19.94.
