Amazon Prime Video’s ‘The Boys’ is currently in its fourth season with season 5 coming soon as well. After an intense season 3 with Homelander gaining more support, fans are curious to know what happens to characters in season 4 and who will die in the season.
Today, we will talk about Billy Butcher. One of the titular characters in the series and comics, Billy the Butcher is an anti-hero. Rest assured there are no such rumors that season 4 will be his last season. However, he does end up dying in the comics. So let’s take a look at what happened to him in the comics.
What Happens To Billy Butcher In The Comics?
William J. Butcher or Billy the Butcher as he is famously known in ‘The Boys’ universe, is the second most important character in the comics next to Homelander. He is an anti-hero in the comics. Homelander’s arch nemesis, Billy blames him for the brutal death of his wife.
He is part of the Boys which also consists of Wee Hughie, Mother’s Milk, the Frenchman, and the Female. Billy also has a common hatred for all superheroes alike and wants to destroy them all. This desire is what leads to his death in the comics.

How Does Billy Butcher Die On ‘The Boys’?
In the comics, Billy dies at the hands of his teammate and friend Wee Hughie. By the end of the comics, Billy kills Homelander and Black Noir. However, his hunger for revenge is not satisfied. He then betrays his teammates. Billy the Butcher goes on a killing spree murdering everyone on his team except for Hugie.
He plans a maniacal plan with Vogelbaum. They came up with a strain of Compound V that could be spread into a cloud, dispersing explosives that could detonate remotely. These explosives would only target those with compound V in their system thus killing all supes. However, Hugie intervenes and the two of them have an epic fight on top of the Empire State Building. He manipulates Hughie by saying that he killed his parents and makes Hugie deliver the killing blow. Billy died with a smile on his face.
