American sitcom ‘Family Guy‘ has made the audience laugh and cry for 25 years. However, the Fox series also shocks us if we notice its subtle details. For instance, hilariously Peter Griffin is an American citizen born in Mexico, with Irish ethnicity. Such idiosyncrasies of the family have been satirizing and entertaining audiences for long. Meg Griffin is no exception to this rule in the ‘Family Guy‘ universe.
Meg is the second child of the Griffin family among the three, Chris Griffin and Stewie Griffin. Portraying the true character of a middle child, Meg is the most neglected and bullied Griffin in the family. She is the scapegoat of the Fox series, considered ugly, friendless, desperate, and suicidal. Moreover, she suffers most at the hands of Peter. It is obvious that Peter is no father figure to Meg most of the time, but is he truly her father?

Who Is Meg’s Father, Stan Thompson?
Brian Griffin reveals that Stan Thompson is Meg’s real father. Throughout the seasons of Family Guy, we have seen many pseudo-appearances of the character. In the episode, Fore Father, Peter imagines what would happen if he had left Meg with Stan. In ‘Not All Dogs Go To Heaven‘, Brian again states that if there was a God, then Meg would know about her real father. Peter in the episode ‘Peter’s Two Dads‘, relates with Meg as he finds out that his biological father is some Irish man who never called back his mother.
Meg finally meets Stan Thompson in the pilot episode of the twenty-second season of Family Guy. There Stan reveals that Meg was an accident. He did not want his ex-wife to find out about Meg, so he left her with Louis and her adoptive father Peter. At first, Stan clearly says that wants nothing to do with Meg. But over the ride to Quohog, he learns how similar Meg is to him. Later, he tricks Louis into signing divorce papers and replaces Peter as the new Family Guy.
