“Book four, which George is working on, takes place in a very cool location,” Parker said. The creative team has an ongoing plan for the franchise. The first three novellas, of course, are suited to three seasons, but the plan isn’t limited to that.
The fourth story takes place in a “very cool location,” Parker said, which many fans immediately connected to The She-Wolves of Winterfell, an unwritten Dunk & Egg story that Martin has been talking about for years. The description has sparked speculation over the long-rumoured story. However, Parker didn’t confirm the title.
The showrunner also pointed out that the fifth scheduled novella would wrap up Egg’s childhood, which is an ideal time for the TV show to take a break.
