During its six-season run, every episode of ‘Glee’ was a guessing game. Which celebrity is going to show up next, and what iconic mash-up would they bring? The guest appearances were so wild that it all felt like a collective fever dream.
And yet, there were so many star appearances that some might have quietly slipped your mind. Here are 10 guest cameos on ‘Glee’ that you might have forgotten.
10. Jennifer Coolidge

No one could have been a better pick to play the role of our favorite cheerleader’s mother. As Brittany Pierce prepares for her wedding, Jennifer Coolidge appears as her delightfully chaotic mother.
Matching that energy, Ken Jeong appeared as Brittany’s father. Only for the show to drop the bomb that Brittany’s real father is Stephen Hawking. Because how else could they justify her surprising genius side?

9. Matt Bomer

Big brother’s big brother obviously couldn’t be better portrayed by anyone but Matt Bomer himself. Just when Blaine is getting the hang of the high school scene, his equally talented and shockingly handsome brother Cooper Anderson storms into his life.
The two brothers sing their hearts out through Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used To Know.” But it was their mash-up of “Hungry Like the Wolf” and “Rio” that lived in our minds rent-free.
8. Tyra Banks

To introduce Glee to the cutthroat world of modeling, they obviously had to bring Tyra Banks herself. Tyra brought the same ruthlessness we saw from her on America’s Next Top Model to her role as a modeling agent, Bichette.
In season 5 episode 6, “Movin’ Out,” Sam Evans ends up at her agency’s doorstep when he decides to become a model. But Bichette doesn’t fail to show him the harsh truths of the modeling industry.
7. Kate Hudson

In season 4, Kate Hudson appears in the recurring role of Cassandra July, Rachel Berry’s no-nonsense dance instructor. During her brief time, she showed us her talents by giving us electric renditions of “Americano” and “Dance Again.”
Her mean and sharp yet charismatic energy only lasted for five episodes. But it made every dance number unexpectedly fabulous.
6. Sarah Jessica Parker

Sarah Jessica Parker walked into ‘Glee’ carrying the unmistakable aura of ‘Sex and the City’ with her character Isabelle Wright. Season 4, episode 3, “Makeover,” of the series introduced her as an editor of Vogue.
She hires Kurt as an assistant and introduces him to the city of New York. Moreover, she was at the heart of one of Glee’s most outrageous mashups: “Let’s Have a Kiki” and “Turkey Lurkey Time.”

5. Lindsay Lohan

In season 3, episode 21, “Nationals,” the New Direction faces off against Vocal Adrenaline at the choir competition in Chicago. The competition featured many celebrity guest stars as judges, including Whoopi Goldberg, Jonathan Groff, and, of course, Lindsay Lohan.
During that time, Lohan was making a comeback to the Hollywood scene after a bunch of public controversies. She portrayed an exaggerated version of her public image, leaning fully into self-satirizing to show off her iconic sense of humor.
4. Finneas O’Connell

Long before launching a Grammy-winning career along with his sister Billie Eilish, Finneas O’Connell jammed out on the ukulele for ‘Glee’. Finneas appeared in four episodes of the final season as Alistair.
Though he was a romantic interest of Glee club member Spencer, Finn also got to perform a few solos that truly showed his musical talents. For years, fans of the show have called him the most successful ‘Glee’ alum.
3. Jeff Goldblum

The Mister Berrys were mentioned numerous times throughout the course of the show, but we don’t get to see them until season three. This is when Jeff Goldblum and Brian Stokes Mitchell appear to support Rachel and Finn’s engagement while secretly plotting to end it.
The two actors were the perfect pair who showed us where Rachel got her diva attitude from. And who knew the ‘Jurassic Park’ actor could be so pitch-perfect?
2. Neil Patrick Harris

We probably won’t ever forget the high note in Neil Patrick Harris and Matthew Morrison’s cover of Aerosmith’s “Dream On.” The role actually won him an Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series.
Harris arrives as Bryan Ryan, a former glee club member and an auditor for the school. He threatens to cut their budget because he is still bitter about never making it on Broadway.
1. Britney Spears

The pop princess herself made her Glee debut in the season 2 episode 2, “Britney/Brittany”. The ‘Glee’ club member Brittany S. Pierce, who was on the sidelines up until this point, finally comes out to make some shocking revelations.
She confesses to New Directions that her full name is Brittany S. Pierce, and due to the similarities in their names, she feels like she has been living in Britney Spears’ shadow. While going under anesthesia, Brittany has hallucinations where the team recreates iconic Britney Spears songs. Spears makes an appearance in the dream sequence to perform alongside the cast.
